Cleaning & Preservation
Your gown is carefully inspected for stains and
spots
We then prespot hems, stains and heavily soiled
areas using specially developed formulas.
The gown is then cleaned with the best method to
ensure that your gown will not have melted beading, fading,
shrinkage or discoloration.
After cleaning, our inspection department carefully
inspects the gown. The gown is then pressed and steamed. Your gown
is then put on a bust form, stuffed with acid free tissue and placed
in an acid free display chest.
Restoration
Wedding gowns older than 10 years that have changed
colors will need to be restored.
The first step is to analyze the gown and do a
restoration test. Once the testing is completed a report is done to
see what steps need to be done to restore the gown.
You will be contacted once the testing is completed
and informed what needs to be done and how much it will cost to
perform the restoration.
Over the years, our technicians have turned old
yellow gowns back to their original color.
